Owl Occasions at Bristol University
25th March 2019
Paul (Birds of Prey Discovery) and Tin Tin and I and Loki from Owl Occasions spent an educational day of 2 sessions each with over 100 Bristol University students. We talked about how Owls and Kestrels hunt, catch to eat and produce pellets and identify bones and skulls found including unusually those of a mole!

Loki the Barn Owl flew brilliantly in the morning session but was not so active on the afternoon one whilst Tin tin the Kestrel did exactly the opposite. Both were photographed many times by the enthralled students. We all had an enjoyable day and as always learnt something ourselves as well. Giving a talk always proves to be an educational experience for us as well as the students!
